Saanich and Victoria Police Department Practice POPAT:
Welcome to the official practice POPAT registration page, where aspiring law enforcement officers can take the next step towards an exciting career in policing. The practice POPAT sessions are free of charge and will be held collaboratively by the Saanich Police Department and the Victoria Police Department. Registration for upcoming POPAT testing sessions are now open and will provide you with the opportunity to test the various stations with guidance from our trained facilitators.
POPAT Stations and Evaluation:
To successfully pass a POPAT Assessment Test, participants must follow the defined protocol for each station and complete the timed portion of the test within 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Additionally, participants must demonstrate their ability to lift and carry a 100 lb torso bag for a distance of 50 feet.

HOW TO REGISTER 1-2:
1. Registration:
To participate, simply complete the details below, registering for a POPAT Practice Session is FREE.
2. Consent & Liability Release Form:
Please read the Consent & Liability Release Form found HERE, then sign in the form below:
I CONFIRM THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS RELEASE AGREEMENT AND THAT BY TYPING MY NAME BELOW, I AM AWARE THAT I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH I OR MY HEIRS, NEXT OF KIN, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS, ASSIGNS AND REPRESENTATIVES MAY HAVE AGAINST THE RELEASEES.
3. Get Active Questionnaire:
All participants are required to complete the Get Active Questionnaire (4-6 pages), and can be found HERE. The form must be completed and signed and emailed to joinspd@saanichpolice.ca. The document should be sent the same day registration is done. The safety and well-being of all participants is our top priority.
Updating Your Registration:
In the event that you need to cancel your registration, please email joinspd@saanichpolice.ca (at least 3 days prior to the event). 2 No Shows will result in participants being excluded up to 4 months for participating in future Practice sessions.
